The Moto G85 5G, launched in July, sports a few premium features in an affordable price range. Launched at Rs 17,999, the smartphone features a slim design, curved-pOLED display, impressive camera specs and a long battery life. These features are very rare to witness on a sub-20,000 phone, especially all of these together in one phone. It seems like Motorola has picked up some of the best features from its flagship Moto Edge series and packaged them in the Moto G85 5G. Overall, the smartphone exceeds expectations. You can read our detailed review of the Moto G85 5G here. Now, with the Flipkart Big Billion Days sale, Motorola is expected to release the device in new aesthetics. According to the 91mobiles, the Moto G85 5G will soon feature in a dark green shade during the sale.
During the launch, the company launched the Moto G85 in three-colour options: Olive Green, Urban Grey and Cobalt Blue. Now, with a new variant, the smartphone will be available in four colours. That being said, the new green shade is rumoured to be darker than the existing Olive Green colour. The official name of the variant is unknown. However, the rumour has it that it will be disclosed during the Flipkart sale.
Flipkart Big Billion Days sale will go live starting September 26 for Plus subscribers and September 27 for all users. The e-commerce website has already disclosed the deals on Motorola smartphones. During the sale, you can get the Moto G85 5G at an effective price of Rs 15,999. But before you place the order, here is a recap of the kept specs and features.
The Moto G85 5G sports a slim and light design. The Moto G85 weighs 172g and is 7.5mm thick. It also has a vegan leather back panel. The rear panel also features a dual-camera setup with a small flashlight alongside it. The cameras are housed on a slightly elevated rectangular island, which also sports the same leather finish.
The device has a 6.7-inch pOLED curved-display with 120Hz refresh rate. It also boasts a peak brightness of 1600nits and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The device’s show-stopping feature is its curved display, similar to the high-end Moto Edge series. The curved display makes the phone’s already-thin bezels almost unnoticeable.
The Moto G85 is equipped with a Snapdragon 6 Gen3 chipset, coupled with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. It runs on Android 14 and comes with 2 years of OS upgrade. The smartphone packs a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.
It sports a rear dual-camera system with a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 sensor with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS). Accompanying this is an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, perfect for capturing expansive landscapes or group shots. The front camera is a 32-megapixel shooter, promising high-quality self-portraits and video calls.
